Neumann celebrates the world's largest electronic music fair together with Orchestral Tools & All Our Minds

Back

Berlin, May 28, 2024 - As the world's largest trade fair event for electronic music, Superbooth attracts a wide-ranging international audience of musicians, synthesizer enthusiasts and producers to Berlin every year. Once again this year, several thousand people gathered near the banks of the River Spree from May 16-18 to discuss the latest developments in synthesizers as well as studio and performance technology. Of course, Georg Neumann GmbH was also part of this exciting force field of creativity and collaboration.

Patched & Matched

Events such as Superbooth are a unique way to experience the fact that manufacturers of musical instruments or pro audio equipment are only a small part of a much larger community, which ultimately benefits much more from shared experiences than from separation. With this in mind, it was a special pleasure for us to host warm-up event on the eve of Superbooth24 together with our friends from Orchestral Tools in their office space and exclusive courtyard location right on the river Spree. The evening quickly developed into an inspiring get-together of artists and music tech enthusiasts, with the captivating performances by artists Mor Elian, NOUR & 6zm adding an exceptional vibe.

Featuring All Our Minds

Fuelled by the energy of the preceding evening, Neumann kicked off three vibrant Superbooth days together with the audio software collective All Our Minds from the UK. In addition to the presentation of individual products and innovations, the focus was primarily on the practical interaction of hardware and software solutions. Hand in hand with the innovative color-based sample and performance tool NOW from All Our Minds, Neumann's reference-class audio solutions were an impressive reminder that the company has even more to offer than its legendary and well-established microphone portfolio.

Fully Equipped

The aesthetically inviting room featured two demo stations, each equipped with Neumann's MT 48 audio interface as well as the NDH 20 and NDH 30 headphone models. In addition, visitors were able to experience the KH series speaker line-up live in action, consisting of the KH 80 DSP, KH 120 II, KH 150 and KH 310 models – the latter supplemented by a KH 750 DSP subwoofer system. All monitor systems were accurately calibrated using Neumann's MA 1 room correction solution, allowing visitors to experience the benefits of optimized sound.

As a special highlight, the immersive possibilities of the KU 100 binaural head microphone could be experienced via an additional listening station using the MT 48 interface and NDH 20 headphones. On all three days, an expert team of Neumann product specialists and developers was on hand to answer user questions.

Neumann technology was also used for the demonstrations of All Our Minds' sampling software NOW: a luxurious setup consisting of an MT 48 and a pair of KH 420 studio monitors with low-frequency support from two KH 870 subwoofers. An enthusiastic audience listened closely to the performances of exceptional artists such as Kyoka, Madame Gandhi, Perera Elsewhere and Rick Fed.

Boris Kummerer, Relations Manager at Neumann, comments: "Together with our friends from Orchestral Tools and All Our Minds, we look back on two great events with resounding enthusiasm. It's always impressive how Superbooth connects artists and music tech enthusiasts in such a unique way. It also reminds the industry that we all share the same passion and that no company is an island. Especially in the pro audio and music industry, it should be more about living and celebrating cooperation and connection - a spirit that is very much in line with our company philosophy. We are already looking forward to Superbooth25!"
